What is Block?

Block is a distraction-blocking device paired with an iOS app. By tapping your iPhone against the Block device, you instantly activate a focus mode that restricts access to selected apps and websites, helping you stay present, productive, and intentional.

Will my phone work with Block?

Block currently supports iPhones running iOS 16.2 or later. We’re actively developing Android compatibility. Join our newsletter to be notified when it becomes available.

Does Block ship internationally?

Yes. At the moment, we ship across the EU and UK.

What is included in the price of Block?

Your purchase includes:

  • The Block One device
  • Full access to the Block App (iOS)
  • All core blocking features
  • No subscriptions
  • No hidden fees
How does Block work?

Using Block is simple:

  1. Download the Block App from the App Store.
  2. Choose which apps and websites to block during your focus sessions.
  3. Tap your iPhone to the Block device to activate the blocking mode.
  4. Tap again to deactivate and regain access.

The device uses NFC and iOS system frameworks to reliably restrict and restore access without storing personal data.

Can I customize which apps Block restricts?

Absolutely. You can create multiple personalized Block Modes, each with its own set of:

  • Apps to block
  • Websites to block (Safari only, based on Apple’s allowed website list)
  • Use cases such as Work, Study, Social Time, Family Time, Reading, Gym, etc.

Block currently supports unlimited modes.

What if I lose my Block device?

Every Block account includes five Emergency Unblocks. You can use these in the app to restore all apps without the physical device. If you’ve used all five, removing the Block App from your iPhone will reset everything.

Does Block require charging or batteries?

No. Block is a passive NFC device. It never needs charging, pairing, or batteries. It works instantly whenever you tap your phone.

Can multiple people use one Block device?

Yes. A single Block device can be used by multiple individuals. Each person’s blocking modes, settings, and analytics remain private inside their own Block App.

Is there a subscription fee?

No, there are no ongoing fees. Purchase Block once and enjoy full access to all standard app features.

Can I track my progress?

Yes. The Block app includes analytics such as:

  • Total focus time
  • Daily and weekly blocking averages
  • Session logs

This helps you build more mindful habits over time.

What is your return policy?

You can return Block within 30 days of receiving your device. To receive a full refund, the device must be:

  • In original condition
  • Returned with all accessories

For return instructions, simply contact our support team.

Do you have access to the apps I block?

No. We do not collect or see:

  • Which apps you block
  • Your app usage
  • Your browsing history
  • Your notifications

All blocking selections remain stored locally on your iPhone.
