Can I unblock without the device?

No, that is exactly the point. The Block device is the physical key. Without it nearby, your session holds until the timer ends.

What happens in an emergency?

Each session includes 5 emergency unblocks. Tap the emergency button in the Block app to temporarily access a blocked app for 2 minutes.

Does it need charging?

No. Block uses passive NFC. No battery, no charging port, no maintenance. It will work forever.

What is the return policy?
